Here’s what you missed........

“A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away”

Could Star Wars be voted as having the best movie tagline? Maybe.

Has it been voted as having the number 1 movie soundtrack? Of course it has!!!

No doubt about it, the Star Wars theme tune is officially the most loved film soundtrack, and there is no way I will argue with that!!

Quite ironic that the top ten movie soundtracks would be listed today, on our very own Free Film Fridays!! We spent most of the show discussing them and also debating over the films that missed out! Unbelievably films like The Godfather, Halloween and Jaws didn’t even feature in the top 10! It gained loads of response on Facebook and Twitter and thank you to everyone who phoned in giving their own suggestions of films which should have been featured. Even Jonathan in the travel centre joined in by reading the travel news to the theme of The Exorcist.

Overall a very fun filmed day!!

Enjoy the rest of your pay day Friday and have an exciting weekend!!

Here’s what you missed........

Research out today described how 1 in 3 managers have lied in order to be promoted!! Therefore we were asking on Facebook and Twitter “What is the biggest fib you’ve ever told at work?” Of course there were a few people who wished to remain anonymous.

We also discussed the adverts that have appeared showing how the new iOS7 download for the iPhone makes your phone waterproof. I say we “discussed”, we were actually mocking the gullible fools who believed these fake ads and have ultimately broke their phones!!!!

I also announced today that I’m going to the Sunderland V Liverpool game on Sunday which actually surprised Simon and Stephen. Considering the last time I watched a match at the SOL was a pre season game against Juventus I’m a little behind the times with regards to footy chants. I’ve been advised not to sing “Paulo Di Canio”.....

And finally, due to mine and Stephens insubordination towards Simon, a date is yet to be set for our joint leaving do. Invitations will be sent in due course........ I kid I kid, he’d be gutted if we left!

Enjoy the rest of your Thursday and tune in tomorrow for Free Film Friday and also for your last chance to win tickets to Sunderland’s home game against Liverpool on Sunday.

Cheers!

Here’s what you missed........

Today’s main topic of discussion was that Sunderland beat Peterborough 2-0 last night in the third round of the Capital One Cup. Former “Three Legends" legend Micky Horswill popped into the studio to discuss the game and give his opinions on the appointment of a new SAFC manager. He didn’t seem impressed that I was wearing a black and white stripy jacket.....

We were also asking on Facebook today “When was the last time you visited a pub?” As a new study out from the Office for National Statistics says that only half of the population have been to a pub this year!!! Quite hard to believe.....I’m guessing they didn’t interview any of the punters in my local!

Listen in again tomorrow for more chances to win tickets to the panto launch on Monday and tickets for the next home game against Liverpool on Sunday.

Cheers!

Here’s what you missed........

Well I had an interesting start to the day, seeing as I was off poorly yesterday, it came as no surprise to find that Simon kept playing crude sound recordings of flatulence....(yes I was off with a dippy tummy). Aside from that immature behaviour we managed to fit in quite a lot of discussions regarding Paulo Di Canio’s departure from SAFC. Seeing as I’m not the most affluent football follower I still managed to chip in with my own opinions, I even impressed myself!! We were also asking on Facebook “What is your biggest bugbear with regards to motorists?” That topic actually gained more response than Di Canio’s exit................

There was also 2 ticket giveaways today with a chance to win tickets for the Cinderella Panto launch and tickets for the next home game against Liverpool on Sunday, so well done to Graham Dobbs from Pennywell and Paul Mann from Silksworth.

Listen in again tomorrow for more chances to win!!

Cheers!
