Niall Quinn

Quinn_Sweed.jpgA true all rounder, prior to his football days Niall Quinn palyed in the final of the 1983 all Ireland Hurling Championship for Dublin!!!

His Football Career saw him play for Arsenal, Manchester City and finished his career at Sunderland

Niall Quinn, Quinn also has the distinction of being the first player to score at Sunderland's stadium of light against Manchester City in 1997. He became a local legend at Sunderland, winning both the Sunderland and North East Sportswriters' Player of the Year awards in 1999 after scoring 21 goals in Sunderland's record-breaking Division One title-winning season.

In addition to this Niall earned 92 caps playing for Ireland, retiring as the countries all time goal scorer, a title he held until 2004 when surpassed by Robbie Keane

When we spoke to him as a McCabe Monday Night Mackem he couldn't contain his passion for his home city and his loathing of an education system he feels is fundamentally flawed.
