You know what they say, three is the magic number and it was time for my third episode in our series of so far very successful Sun FM test drives and it was on with my Clarkson style denim to Evans Halshaw Nissan Sunderland on Wessington Way!
Nissan in Sunderland has made headlines across Wearside for the all the right reasons lately, investing £125 million and creating 400 jobs in the area for the production of the new Nissan Leaf.
For today however, I was taking the new five door Nissan Micra Visia for a spin. Even the Micra has had a new lease of life; the former bubble shaped Nissan is gone and replaced by a more sleeker design. It boasts all the usual mod cons such as remote central locking, power steering and electric windows. As well as a USB port allowing you to listen to your favourite MP3’s. You can even connect wirelessly to your phone using the Bluetooth Connectivity. Not that you’ll need that of course because you’ll be too busy listening to Sun FM’s ‘Big Drive Home’ Show…ahem.
Also the 1.2 petrol litre engine which will return more than 56.5 miles to the gallon.
This is the perfect first car for first time buyers or perhaps a second family car; just imagine how stylish you’d look doing the School Run and dropping the kids off in this!
Afterwards I did feel a bit like Charlie and his Granddad in the Chocolate Factory when they fly too close to the fans and have to be cleaned by the Oompa Lumpas! I say this because I got to take the show room model out, in the pouring rain as well, meaning that on my departure some poor soul had to re-clean and wax it.
