Let's get started, what was #1 when you were born?
The Bay City Rollers - "Give A Little Love".
What's your favourite #1 ever?
Do you know what? I don't really care about #1's! I'm much more interested in the songs in the middle of the chart. The songs that peak at number 23 are normally much more interesting than the chart smashes. The first song I bought that went to number 1 was Bangles - "Eternal Flame". I also bought 2 copies of "Country House" to help Blur beat Oasis. Personally Nizlopi getting #1 was fantastic as I supported that record from September 2005, so when it got to number one just before Christmas I felt really happy for them!
Which pop star would you most like to get cosy with?
Brandon Flowers on looks but he's a bit boring so I guess Justin Timberlake, just so I could say I'd had him.
So if you had to be a popstar yourself, which band would you join?
Kasabian - they look like they have a lot of fun!
And if you could wipe one from history?
Simply Red! Imagine a world without Mick Hucknell!
If you were having a dinner party, who would you invite?
Willy Mason, Serge from Kasabian, KT Tunstell, Nelly Furtado, and Dave Grohl. That would be a fun party. Imagine if they all wrote a song together after dessert. It would be amazing!!
If you weren't a radio presetner, what would you be?
I'd like to have been a National Park Ranger!
And before these award-winning radio days, what was the worst job you had?
Working for the Department of the Environment as a temp. It was so mind numbingly boring. I had to photocopy about 2 things every day and that was it.
And finally, what are the most played tracks on your MP3 player?
Willy Mason - We Can Be Strong
Interpol - Evil
Mark Ronson - Ooh Wee
Donnas - Fall Behind Me
Franz Ferdinand - The Fallen
Aqualung - Strange and Beautiful
Linda Rondstadt - It Doesn't Matter Any More
Joanna Newson - This side of the Blue
Carly Simon - Why
Billy Talent - Prisoner of Today
