As a Barclays Head of Social Media, you will support the OMNI Channel Director to proactively define, develop and deliver the future strategy, responsible for managing all aspects of Barclays UK social media channels, from defining and curating our social media strategy to generating business insights and, crucially, developing our approach to community management and customer services. You will also indirectly lead a team of Social Media OMNI Specialists and Team Leaders, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders that include customers, stakeholders, suppliers or trade unions, working at a national level.

As a Head of Social Media, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Supporting the OMNI Channel Director in developing existing channel capabilities and knowledge regarding, Strategic and Change Leadership
• Building and leading on the social media strategy alongside our social media agency, demonstrating that social media can truly deliver business objectives
• Shaping and delivering implementation plans and business cases underpinning the strategy and its deployment for both existing and new services in across Omni Channel
• Defining and communicating clear priorities to the internal and external parties supporting new and existing activities management in terms of development priorities, focus and resource allocation
• Working with stakeholders to develop content that is worthy of winning awards
• Collaborating with internal departments and cross-channel agencies to deliver seamless campaign and project management
As a Head of Social Media, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Extensive experience within a customer service environment, including telephony, digital or multi-channel structured organisations
• Strong customer focused attitude and desire to exceed customer expectations at all times with a high degree of quality consciousness
• Experience in managing in a matrix environment and influencing solutions across a complex business/structure
• Experienced in managing complex compliance issues in both regulated and unregulated environments
• Experience in managing income generation through correct positioning of products to meet customers’ needs
• Significant Contact Centre leadership experience gained in an results driven, commercial Contact Centre or Outsourced environment in a Senior Leadership role in a complex, multi-site organisation
