Detectives hunt a driver after car abandoned on its roof off Ryhope road

Police are appealing for help in finding the driver of a car, that flipped over on its roof in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 6am this morning (Monday) officers were called to The Cedars, after a collision between Ryhope Road and Alexandra Road.

Emergency services attended but the man who was driving the vehicle abandoned it in the middle of the road and had left the scene.

The vehicle has been removed from the area and the road is no longer blocked.

Detectives are now attempting to find the driver.

Enquiries to locate the driver are ongoing and anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 133 17/07/17.
