Motorist who drove into house gets four year ban

The man who drove his car into a house in Sunderland has been banned from driving for four years.

Reginald Conlin was almost three times over the legal limit when he crashed into a cottage in Roker last month.

The incident happened in the early hours of 27th August.

The 31 year old crashed his BMW through the a brick wall and the living room on Forster Street. 

Luckily no one was injured.

Mr Conlin has also been sentenced to an 18-month community order with 200 hours unpaid work and £170 legal costs.
