Former Newcastle star Paul Gascoigne's generous donation

Former Newcastle and England star Paul Gascoigne's donated a thousand pounds to a disabled teenager who's been left unable to communicate after thieves stole her computer.

Miya Thirlby has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and her story appeared on Twitter after equipment was taken from a car.

The footballer then pledged the money when a well-wisher started an online fundraiser on the Plymouth family's behalf.

He was replying to a Newcastle fan on Twitter, who made the appeal on his daughter's behalf.
