Man dies after falling from Newcastle car park

A man has sadly passed away after falling from a multi-storey car park in Newcastle.

Emergency services were called to the car park inside St James' Park at 9:35pm last night (Monday 15th January).

He was taken to hospital but sadly died of his injuries.

A spokesperson from Northumbria Police has given the following statement: 

At around 9.35pm last night police received a report that a man had fallen from the multi-story car park at St James' Park in Newcastle. 

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital but sadly he passed away. 

Officers are now working to support his family at this time but there is not believed to be any third party involvement and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
