Bradley Lowery's legacy lives on, with a gala ball a week on Sunday.

The Sunderland fan died of the rare blood cancer, neuroblastoma at the age of just six last July.

The Foundation set up by his mum Gemma in his name, is to host its first Gala Ball at the Gateshead Hilton on the 18th of February.

It was created to help other families and children living with cancer.

Proceeds will be split between the #ForBradley campaign, aiming to build a holiday home for sick children and their families, and The Bradley Lowery Foundation which was launched by Gemma at his beloved Sunderland football club - where she spoke with Sun FM.

Gemma, The founder of The Bradley Lowery Foundation adds:

"It is still very overwhelming how much support we have. Bradley will be so proud of us all for carrying on the great work and awareness he raised. We have some big names attending the Gala Ball and I know people will enjoy all of the Entertainment we are putting on for them”

The young Black Cats fan captured the hearts of the nation and brought together people across the football divide.

There will also be representatives from the football clubs Sunderland AFC, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough FC and Everton FC on the night.

Entertainment includes Comedian Carl Hutchinson, X Factor singer Che Chesterman and the band Hip Operation.

Tickets for the Gala Ball can be requested by emailing emailing – contact@bradleyloweryfoundation.com.

Tickets are £1,000 per table of 10, or £100 per person.
