The Prime Minister met with a delegation from Japan, including representatives from Sunderland Nissan, at 10 Downing Street yesterday.

It's amid fears over job security post-Brexit, with the car manufacturer employing 7 thousand at the Washington plant and many more in the supply chain.

The country's ambassador to the UK Koji Tsuruoka, warned trade needs to be as free as possible, saying:

"If there's no profitability of continuing operations in the UK, no private company can continue operations".
