Make your vote count in Sunderland

Sunderland's 2017 general election ballot boxes arrive

7:11am 13th February 2018

Residents on Wearside are being reminded to make their vote count.

Local Government election registration letters have been dropping on doormats across the city.

It is to help ensure you are listed to vote in the up-coming local council election on Thursday May the 3rd.

Key dates to make a note of are:

  • The last day to apply to register to vote is Tuesday the 17th of April.
  • The last day to hand in your completed postal vote application to Electoral Services is 5pm on Wednesday the 18th of April.
  • Polling day is 7am to 10pm on Thursday the 3rd of May.
