A local shopping centre's sharing the love this Valentine's Day by giving away its mall furniture.

Dalton Park's donated some of its street furniture to local school - The Ribbon in Murton.

It follows a 2 million pound enhancement project at the site, as it approaches its 15th birthday.

As part of the Crystal anniversary, they've launched a 15-pledge promise, to the local community and beyond.
Six benches, eight litter bins and four galvanised metal tables, are all set for a new home at the school.
Jerry Hatch, Centre Manager at Dalton Park, is extremely proud of how far the centre has come in the last 15 years and said:

"It's amazing to think we're celebrating our 15th anniversary this year so wanted to do something special to mark the milestone."
"We'll be reaching out to different charities and getting involved with various initiatives as part of our 15-pledge promise, starting with our donation to The Ribbon."
"We're absolutely over the moon with our mall enhancements but couldn't bear to see our old furniture thrown in the skip."
"We know the benches, bins and tables will be put to great use by all the pupils at The Ribbon and looking forward to seeing all the pictures of them in situ."
More information on Dalton Park's 15-pledge promise will be announced soon.
