LATEST: A19 incident - collision has cleared

UPDATE - 16:44

Traffic easing is now easing after the accident was cleared on A184 Newcastle Road.

Two vehicles were involved just after the roundabout heading towards Nissan but police were able to clear the road quickly.


The southbound carriageway of the A19 is blocked after a serious two-vehicle collision this afternoon.

It happened between the A184 at Testos and the Nissan Interchange.

Traffic is building and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Police are currently at the scene with one lane closed.
