South Shields woman to raise awareness of mental health

A South Shields woman will take a leap of faith later this year - all in memory of her Dad and Grandad.

Faye Turner lost both of them to suicide - she now wants to raise awareness of mental health.

The 24 year old will also be raising money for the mental health charity, Mind.

However, Faye won't be alone - a friend is joining her:

She tells Sun FM that her Dad and Grandad would be proud of what she's about to do:

Faye's Dad, Martin, who died in 2011. Her Grandad died in 2007.

 

Although she's anxious about the jump, she says that it will be an amazing experience.
