Overnight Sunderland A1231 road closure

Essential work on Wessington Way near to the new Northern Spire bridge takes place this week.
A part of the A1231 will be affected between 8 tonight and 6am tomorrow and again each night until Friday.
It's as essential resurfacing work gets underway on the A1231 in both directions between Timber Beach Road and Northern Way in Southwick.
Diversion will be in place and drivers are being advised to expect some delays.
