7:24am 8th January 2018

The Black Cats will turn their attention to clawing their way out of the bottom 3 of the league.

It's after being knocked out of the FA cup with a third round derby on Teesside.

The Boro beat Sunderland 2-nil at the Riverside to progress in the competition.

Chris Coleman was without eleven first-team players and top scorer Lewis Grabban after he returned to his parent team AFC Bournemouth ending his loan spell.

Up next for it's a trip to Coleman's home nation Wales, and a game at Cardiff City on Saturday.
