Sunderland failed in their quest for back-to-back home wins with a former boss haunting the Black Cats.

Mick McCarthy's Ipswich Town scored twice in the first half to take 3 points from the Stadium of Light.

Goals from Joe Garner and Freddie Sears saw the Tractor Boys leave Wearside with a victory.

Despite fielding 4 of his January signings during the match, Chris Coleman's going to be hoping for better when the lads travel to Bristol City next Saturday.
