Preparing for your GCSEs is an important time for you and we know you want to achieve your very best so that you can prepare for life after school. That’s why we have put together this list packed with handy hints and tips to help you get ready!

Revision Top Tips

  1. Use text books to support your notes
  2. Make summaries for each topic
  3. Index cards and post-it notes might help prompt your memory
  4. Use little note books for each subject so your notes are all in one place
  5. Record yourself on your phone summarising key points and play it back each day
  6. Practise past papers – you could even do them under exam conditions to make sure you plan your time out correctly
  7. It might help to revise in a group – asking questions and explaining topics to each other
  8. Use the internet to research your revision topics and expand your knowledge
  9. Look for revision apps to help you

It's all in the mind

As well as your revision technique, you need to make sure you are feeling good to get the best from your time. These tips will help

  1. Eat well
  2. Exercise regularly
  3. Stay positive
  4. Get enough sleep
  5. Take regular breaks
  6. Set yourself goals – so you can see your progress

  8. RELAX – find activities that help you switch off your mind at the end of the day
